The KPI framework from Constructing Excellence as well as regular meetings with key project partners/employees who have access to the information sought by the KPIs e.g. business performance, happiness of those constructing the development, health and safety, etc..

Form of output
The results from KPIs are often shown on graphs (in order to reveal any trends in the data) which are compiled into reports.

Type of data output
The information gained is a mixture of quantitative and qualitative - e.g. one KPI could be investigating energy consumption and another KPI investigating customer satisfaction.

What format is the tool available in?
KPIs are available to download but at a cost from the Constructing Excellence website http://www.constructingexcellence.org.uk . Registration, which is free, is required to access most data from the Construction Excellence website.
The website information on KPIs is in two sections: The KPIZone Free Service provides information on getting started with benchmarking, news, benchmarking clubs and signposts to information available (free or at cost) from other organisations. The KPIZone Subscription Service gives on-line access to the latest Construction Industry KPI graphs and charts, Guides and Handbooks, Methods of Measurement....in fact all you need to start and maintain your benchmarking programme using KPIs.
