The research was sponsored by Umweltbundesamt (German Federal environmental agency) and the work involved the following departments:
Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences, Department of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning, Prof. Dr. Hermann Behrens, Prof. Dr. Peter Dehne, Dipl.-Ing. Johann Kaether, Dipl.- Ing. Elfriede Schmidt; in co-operation with the Mecklenburg Lakes District regional planning association. Contact: kaether@fh-nb.de

Altogether the research project´s accompanying and application-oriented approach has been approved.

Is the tool newly developed or based on an exisiting tool
The basis of that approach (manual) formed the "Regional Conference of the Mecklenburg Lake District". Additionally other regional development processes have been screened and analysed in order to produce the manual.
