Description of the tool
The Environmental management Control Panel has been developed to better understand, know, manage and minimise the different impacts of buildings in operation. The tool is targeting businesses in the service sector including very small businesses and public-sector institutions. These activities also play a role in the economic development of cities´ centres.

For these businesses, standard eco-management procedures (EMAS, ISO 14001, etc) are deemed too demanding to be used. The management Control Panel aims at proposing an adapted tool to help the first step towards a more sustainable management. It implements standard procedures into a customised form.

The Environmental management Control Panel takes the form of a variety of indicators that allow practices to be expressed in the form of figures. Environmental performance indicators provide specific, accurate information about the institution functioning and the Control Panel takes place as a management and communication tool.

The specific goal is to provide sustainable-management procedures adapted to the service sectors and particularly micro-businesses, public sector institutions, etc.
