The planning unit uses a number of data – e.g. on soil, geology, water and groundwater, traffic, nature protection, on building, site location etc. That information is used and transformed into GIS-System.

Form of output
Written reports and thematic maps are used for recording, argumentation and planning.

Type of data output
The data output is qualitative, focusing to describe the potential impact of a proposed development in the urban context.
Some of the criteria include also quantitative information, for example about climatic conditions. Some quantitative information, e.g. permeability of the soil and sub-soil system, have been "translated" into qualitative terms for easier use and understanding of the results.
