BREEAM assessments are completed by trained assessors but the assessment covers a range of issues about the building and the site for which information will need to be provided.

A report and certificate.

Type of data output
The output is quantitative. The report contains a set of environmental weightings that are combined to produce a single overall score from which the buildings is rated. The ratings are pass, good, very good or excellent, and are presented on a certificate.

What format is the tool available in?
The pre-assessment checklist is available for download from the internet, but the tool itself is not publicly available. For the tool to be implemented and accredited by BRE, an accredited BRE assessor would fulfil the assessment.
