Canada was the managing partner but there were a number of other countries involved, who now use the tool and some of which have used it to develop their own version: Chile, Argentina, Canada, USA, UK, Norway, Sweden, Finland, France, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Poland, Spain, Wales, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Australia and South Africa.

Organisation and author/s that produced the tool:
The GBTool software was developed by Nils Larsson and Raymond Cole on behalf of Natural Resources Canada, iiSBE and the GBC partners.

Organisations/departments also involved in the design/development of the tool:
This system was developed under the guidance of 19 national teams participating in the Green Building Challenge, an on-going international project to develop and test a new method of assessing the performance of buildings.
