These provide the basis for qualitative analysis and for the definition of measures which address nature protection, urban ecology, social Green – mounting and accessibility, green areas in living areas as well as leisure and local recreation.
Form of output A report and thematic maps are produced which offer an overview of existing green structure of the city. On that basis open spaces are maintained and developed. They provide also a basis for the development of the land utilisation plan of the municipality. Type of data output The map provides a qualitative description. In addition there are also quantitative estimates of the existing green and blue areas within the city limits, as well as figures of costs to maintain and develop these areas, but also figures about the required financial means required to buy new open areas. What format is the tool available in? Both the report and the thematic maps are available as paper copies. The maps are GIS-based and would be available electronically in principal.
