CARE-W project is funded by the European Community, and aims to develop methods and software that will enable engineers of the water companies to establish and maintain an effective management of their water supply networks, rehabilitating the right pipes at the right time. The results shall be disseminated as a manual on Best Management Practice (BMP) for water network rehabilitation.

CARE-W is a computer based system for water network rehabilitation planning. It provides fundamental and valuable facilities for estimating the current and future condition of water network, i.e. to produce performance indicators, select and rank rehabilitation projects, and estimate long-term investment needs.
