When was the tool produced
The tool was produced between 2001 and 2004. During these 3 years a lot of upgrades have been made according to test on municipalities with end users and end users need.

Organisation/s that developed the tool and country of origin
Care-W-Arp has been developed during the European Project CARE-W (Computer Aided Rehabilitation of Water Network, February 2001- January 2004) funded by the European Community. http://care-w.unife.it/

Is the tool newly developed or based on an exisiting tool
Care-W-Arp is based on the method ELECTRE TRI. ELECTRE TRI is a mathematical multi criteria method which allows outranking of alternatives. This method belongs to non compensatory models. Care-W-Arp is one of its application on drinking water network rehabilitation.

Cost of the full tool
The commercialisation of the tools developed by Care-W project is at present time discussed. Costs and conditions are still not fixed.
