Tool Characteristics

Name of the tool
MIKE

Data required to utilise tool
The user must feed the model with local baseline data, to establish a model that simulates the actual situation. In this way the tool is adapted to the local context. Once this is done, and the model has been calibrated, the user can use the model to analyse and predict water flows and water quality in different future situations, for instance due to changes in physical conditions of the water body (for instance by expanding the harbour), or changes in flows (for instance reducing or increasing overflows from retention basins).

Form of output
Reports, maps, analysis, surveillance etc.

Type of data output
Quantitative output
