When was the tool produced The Wallonian Government approved the Framework in July 2002. It has not yet been upgraded. Is support provided The government is intending to create a new post of landscape experts (Landscape Facilitators). These experts are expected to give competent advices to help the assessment of the project in respect to its impacts. Organisation/s that developed the tool and country of origin A Wind-farm committee/cell has been constituted to think about the management of wind-farm developments.
This committee includes a representative from each of the 3 ministers of the Wallonian region of Belgium concerned (Town Planning, Energy and Agriculture) and a representative from each 3 ministries´ departments concerned (DGATL, DGRNE and DGTRE)
This committee developed the Framework approved by the Wallonian Government in July 2002.
Is the tool newly developed or based on an exisiting tool The Framework is specifically developed for Wallonia. Nevertheless, it gathers benchmark data and goals inspired by considerations of other European countries that are leaders in wind-farm developments as the Netherlands and Germany.
