If the assessor has sufficient knowledge of the project, plan or proposal being assessed and the proposed area then completion of the matrix could take ten minutes or alternatively a couple of hours if information is required from colleagues.

For the UK Angelina Street case study, each contractor who submitted a tender to develop the houses had to comply with the requirements of the matrix as well as providing a competitive price. This ensured that the sustainability elements were met.
