Tool summaryName of the tool Contract Evaluation (Contractor Selection Matrix) Description of the tool Designed by Cardiff County Council to be used as part of the partnering process, the Contractor Selection Matrix was used to help select, from tenders, the most appropriate (that is sustainable: the most environmentally, socially and economically aware) contractor for the Cardiff Partnership Scheme. The matrix focuses on the following issues: Sustainability/Low Energy Housing; Costs; Mixed Tenure; Agenda 21; Training Initiatives; Lifetime Homes; A commitment to partnering; and an assessment of previous experience in public and private sector housing regeneration and development.
