Description of the tool
A tool kit for evaluating the design of healthcare buildings from initial proposal through to post project evaluation. It uses a series of simple, non-technical questions to score how people react to a particular healthcare building design. AEDET has three basic sections –Functionality, Impact and Build standard – which are subdivided into 10 assessment criteria – Use, Access, Space, Character and Innovation, Citizen Satisfaction, Internal Environment, Urban and Social Integration, Performance, Engineering and Construction.
