When was the tool produced
1998 (developed 1994-97). There has been no upgrades sine then. The independent institution "BPS" is distributing it, including additional literature, e.g.: "Inspiration Guide for MEMPD" (1999) and "MEMPD – guidance for building owners" (1997).

At the moment there is a project going on to update the manual, and to put it on the Web. The project is run by NIRAS and RH Architects, and financially supported by private funds (RealDania).

The work was lead by The Association of Consulting En gineers (Foreningen af Rådgivende Ingeniører) in collaboration with Council of Practicing Architects (Praktiserende Arkitekters Råd), DBUR (Danish Building and Urban Research), Danish Technology Institute (Dansk Teknologisk Institut) and a number of consultants and building owners.
