Name of the tool
BRE Sustainability Checklist for developments: A common framework for developers and local authorities

A comprehensive knowledge of the construction project- information that a project manager would be likely to know.

Form of output
Having completed the checklist the scores can be presented in fingerprint diagrams in one of three ways
(i) scores for each of the eight main issue headings;
(ii) total scores for comparing proposals;
(iii) scores for sub issues within issue headings.

The output is qualitative: scores.

This review is of the original version which is paper based: D Brownhill, S Rao (2002) A sustainability checklist for developments: a common framework for developers and local authorities, BRE.

The tool used in the PETUS case study: Llandarcy Urban Village, was the paper based version slightly altered and transferred for use on a computer by Parsons Brinkerhof consultants for application at Llandarcy Urban Village.
