It is based on three types of environmental damages (human health, ecosystem quality and resources) and the links between them. The Pré Eco-indicator computes easy to use standard indicator scores. These single scores can be used as a user friendly tool by designers and product managers. The Eco-indicator of a material or process is a single number that indicates the environmental impact of a material or process, based on data from a life cycle assessment. The procedures include as follows: resource analysis, land-use analysis, fate analysis, exposure and effect analysis, damage analysis, normalization and weighting.
